#14 on my list, Meet 30 new people (#10&11)
I really enjoy getting to know the missionaries that pass through out church! What can I say, I'm a people person. I got the opportunity to meet the Browns today (missionaries to Colorado). My friends Steve and Sherri were nice enough to let me crash in on lunch and fellowship with them and the Browns, since they were staying with them. The stuffed salmon was awesome, thanks to the wonderful people at Safeway that work in the seafood department and Sherri's oven:) We had a good time talking about everything from the field they've been called to, to how to properly train a dog ;the Vaughns have the cutest peekapoo, Levi, who does the funniest tricks,Levi wasn't up to par today though hopefully he feels better. Anyway, it was a fun afternoon with friends and I'm always greatful for the opportunity to meet missionaries that have a passion to reach people. 11 people down, only 19 more to go on my list.

#14 on my list, Meet 30 new people (#8 & 9)
This month at church we are having out Missions conference. Our theme is Looking Beyond Ourselves to the Evangelizing of the World. It's been a really good month so far and we have 2 more weekends left to go. It's also nice to have a whole month to concentrated our hearts to the needs of mission works
around the world, rather then having them squished into one week. This past weekend I got to have the Smiths (Charlie and JoAnn are missionaries to Argentina that we support) over for lunch. It was nice meeting them and getting to hear the burden that the Lord has placed on them for the field that he's sent them to. Bro. Smith reminded me very much of Pastor Prisk. I enjoyed getting to know them.
#4 on my list,Get flowers for 30 people (#2)
My co-worker Sarah went home sick today (there's a nasty bug going around) so I sent her some virtual flowers (i.e. a picture from the net).
Time is really flying by on this list and though I have 2 items completed, I still have much left to so. I probably won't complete all of them, but it would be nice to at least make a dent. Overall though the list is coming along. I'm enjoying myself with it and it's fun entertaining my friends. Seriously, I know we're way overdue for some girls nights, but once the summer is over it seems like there's never enough time. Don't worry Nicki we'll have one soon.

#14 on my list, Meet 30 new people (#6 & 7)
This one is moving along in a grand fashion. This past weekend we at Bible Baptist church had the pleasure of hearing one of the missionaries that we support preach.
6 & 7. His name is Bill Richards and he had his wife Brenda with him. Evidently we have been supporting them since they left the BBF missions program 20 years ago, but they had never been to see us before. However this Sunday changed all that. He gave 2 great sermons. I especially enjoyed the one in the evening, about not forgetting what we were prior to salvation. I know it had to be difficult for his to try and preach in English again since he's been doing it in German for 20 something years, but I thought he did an excellent job. Any time the gospel is presented it is a excellent message. I'm glad that I got to talk with them and find out more about their ministry, as well as their sons. For we also support their son Seth's new ministry work in Germany as well. In all honesty I stayed to converse with them way later than I had expected to, but it was well worth it because it's not all that often that we may be able to see them so you have to take advantage of the opportunities that come along.
I especially enjoy getting to talk to missionaries and find out about what they face on different fields. I would love to go to a foriegn field to help and evangelist, but the only request that I have concerning that is, that if it ends up being in the Lords will for me to marry someone that is called to the mission field that it's not in Asia. Don't get me wrong Asia is beautiful, but it's muggy and sticky! I don't mind heat, but humidity is not something that I enjoy for more than a week, if I were on a vacation. I know this because when I was in Japan and Diego Garcia (for about 6 months each) it was like that, and I was there during monsoon season, UGH! Of course I'll go and do whatever he asks of me, but I can always pray and still hold on to the hope that my wishes will meet up with what the Lord desires of me.

#14 on my list, Meet 30 new people (#4 & 5)
Last night I met 2 new visitors out at church. Their names are Vanessa and John, both were out visiting from the Navy base. They seemed nice. It's always nice to have people visit us, especially on a Wednesday.

#14 on my list, Meet 30 new people (#3)
Yes that's right people I'm on #3. I know, I know it's not really fair because I am an outgoing person and I meet people pretty easily but here you have it.
3. Christin, she and her husband joined Bible Baptist Church a while ago, but I didn't really get to meet her until this weekend. She's definitely a nice girl. She wanted to know tonight what sort of snacks I could eat when we go over to her house to watch Enchated tomorrow. I told her not to worry about it because I could bring some of my own things and that I wouldn't feel left out if the girls were eating something different. It was very sweet of her, I definitely think that's a gift of hospitality showing.

#14 on my list, Meet 30 new people (#2)
OK all, I've already met my #2 out of my 30 people. Here it goes. . .
2. His name is Daniel, and he's the brother of one of the larger families on our church. I think I mentioned him in my last blog, about the dinner I cooked for Chris and Selena. Anyway, he seems to be enjoying the fellowship at church and has been attending faithfully for the last few weeks (it's nice to see some new people have been attending lately).
There you have it 2 down and only 28 to go. YAY!!!

#14 on my list, Meet 30 new people (#1)
And so the fun begins. . .
Number 14 on my list has me to meet 30 new people, and tonight I met my first one. As the next 14 months progress I'll keep this list (and other updated). So here it goes. . .
1. Sandy (02.27.08) - Met her at church. A very nice girl, she's in the Navy like I was. I just wish that I had been feeling better when I met her as I had a very upsetting day. I'm happy that I was able to look outside of my own issues to take advantage of the opportunity that the Lord gave me. It was nice to pray with someone different. I'm not sure if she's saved or not, but she seemed happy to be visiting with us at BBC and I hope that she continues to come out to church.
