Poll Results

Back at the beginning of the month I posted a poll asking when people liked to celebrate their birthday's. The choices were on the day, the Saturday after, or all week long. Well, well, well the mighty voters have spoken and the power of the poll says that there is a 3 way tie between the choices. Interesting. I usually like a clearly defined winner, but it's interesting to see that people are devided. Ultimately I think the importance or what makes it special is that it is celebrated. After all it is the day that the Lord gave you to be born on.

I have a new poll up

As of today I have exactly 2 weeks until I turn 30. . .

Growing up we almost always celebrated our birthday's on the actual day. I don't think I have any memories of us having birthday parties on a Saturday or Friday, unless it actually was that day. Maybe my 10th birthday is an exception because it was a slumber party, but that's about it. My Dad was a stickler about that and now looking back I appreciate it. Sure my brother and I were the only kids having a party at 4 o'clock on a Tuesday afternoon, but it reinforced the fact that the day was special, even if it was just because I was born. That was the day that God chose to have me come into the world, and it deserves to be recognized as such. Now that I'm older, I'm pretty much a stickler for that tradition as well and will carry it on with my own kids one day. But this is what prompts my new poll. I want to know what others think about when they celebrate their own special day.

Only one day left

There's only one day left to vote one what my followers want to be called. Right now Carolyn's Crew is leading, and Wonderful Readers is in second. So once the votes are tallied then I'll rename my followers. Get your vote in before 8am tomorrow!

What do you want to be called?

I want to change the name of my "Followers" gadget, but I'm not sure what to change it to so I thought I'd let you decide by putting up a poll. I'll leave it up for a week. The winning vote gets the prize title. Of course I'm also open to suggestions.

All 8 people that voted for my recipe name felt very strongly that my recipe should be named "Crunchy Chicken Casserole". Your vote counts so I will oblige you, plus that's the name that I like best too.

And although it's been a while since I took my hair poll down. The results basically said that people wanted me to stay blonde. Which is fine by me because when the roots grow back, my hair would probably be red. And with the undertones of my skin red hair does not look good on me.

Name my recipe

In my last blog I mentioned that my friend renamed my recipe, which is fine, but I want to get your feed back on it so I posted a poll. Let me know what you think the recipe should be named and I'll name on it based on the results. I'm leaving it up until the end of the year (New Year, new recipe), so you have a while (and you can vote more than once, just in case you're really passionate about what it should be called).

Continue to vote on my hair color too! Right now the blonds are ahead. My friend Dave told me on Sunday, pretty emphatically, that I SHOULD NOT dye it brown. Normally I'm not looking for other peoples opinions, but this is a pretty big deal, and Dave is always good about giving me feed back if I'm making a fashion/cosmetic disaster. Plus it's always nice to have the opinion of a guy, every now and then, especially since I'm on my own. So it was appreciated.

My hair color

I found a new hair dresser a few months ago. She had her training at Jean Juarez so she knows what she's doing. She's super sweet and when I'm in her chair my inner control freak, over my hair, is silenced. However, today she suggested the possibility of me becoming a brunette. She said that it would bring out my blue eyes and that she thought it would look good with my skin tone. She showed me the brown she was thinking of and it's dark, but it might look nice. I'm not totally sold yet so I put up a poll to see what you all think. It doesn't mean I will base my decision on the poll I just want to see what ya'll out there think (especially those that know me). The poll is located under my archived items. Vote away!
