In the beginning God created . . .

Last week was wonderfully busy. Not so much with errands and such, but with meetings at church. A few of us last night were laughing over the irony that seems to take place during these week long meetings, which is with all the visitors that we tend to get we should be on our toes and as welcoming as possible the irony comes into play though, that we are probably the most tired that we could be and yet somehow we always seem to be the nicest version of our ourselves. I'm sure that those of you that have active church social lives know exactly what I am talking about. However, it was a wonderfully busy week of meetings and the fatigue was well worth it.

Last Sunday kicked off the week with Friend Day 60+ visitors from various walks of life and all friends of BBC members visited and got to hear Bro. Pat Briney preach. A few years ago he visited us to speak about Bio-Ethics, as his field of expertise is immunology. However, he is also an expert in the field of Creation Evangelism and using the creation science model as a rebuttal for the crowd of Evolutionists and Humanists that have taken over science and the school systems of America, and equipping Christians with the tools that they need in order to refute the "evidence" for evolution that they like to level in our direction. This is what he spent the week teaching on in our Bible Institute and nightly meetings, which culminated in a meeting in Seedro Wooley along HWY 20 as part of out HWY 20 Project outreach.

In case any of you are wondering, Science supports the Creation Science model.

I don't think that one blog post will do justice to such an in depth topic so this will probably be a multi-post series.

One thing that I learned is that when us creationists get caught up in a conversation with an evolutionist, about evolution, that we are not talking from the same points. Creationists argue the origin of the universe while Evolutionists argue on the origin of species. However here's one nugget for you to chew on, how could there be species without a universe in the first place? So really the conversation has to start at the beginning. You can't argue speciation without a universe to begin with.

It's easy for people, especially Christians to shy away from controversy. In one aspect we know ultimately what will happen, so why should it matter how the world was made? The answer is found in 1 Peter 3:15, But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:, and it should be relevant to us if we are to be "all things" as Paul aimed to be, 1 Corinthians 9:22.

However, Bro. Briney does not shy away from the controversy, and though he doesn't seek it out the "dirty dozen" seem to follow him anywhere they can. I thoroughly enjoyed hearing his testimony and about the situations that he's encountered while speaking on this subject in the University system. Maybe it's because I too have stirred things up with my points of view in the past, but when you're right and you know it, and you have the information to back you up there's a certain euphoria that takes place as you watch people grasp at straws or get emotional while you're remaining calm during a "debate". What is absolutely fabulous is that he was once an evolutionist, being indoctrinated into their frame of thought. God is so good! Of course my words don't serve nearly as well as his because it is his testimony, but he was a biology major in the UC school system when he heard a speaker on this subject and began to question what he was being taught, obviously seeing the logic and actual science behind the creation model. It was a real privilege to sit under his teaching for a week.

Personally I'm glad that I'm done with my science pre-reqs for school and that I can now learn real science for myself instead of having to regurgitate the words of someone who wrote a text book. Instead let me regurgitate the words of the Lord . . .
Genesis 1:1 "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth."

I'll share more of my new found knowledge as the days continue to go on. Stay tuned. If you're interested in where the evidence, as well as why the evidence, lies in favor of creation you can head over to Bro. Briney's website Creation Insights. I also have a link up at the top of my screen under Sites for Seekers.

That's very interesting! I'll have to talk to my pastor about seeing if Bro. Briney can come out our way.

It was a great week! I hope that works out for you for him to go out that way.

Sounds like a busy but blessed week!

I just don't get how people can believe in evolution, to me, it takes more faith to believe in that then it does to believe that God created the world.

Thank you for stopping by my blog and for the kind comment you left for me. I don't remember your ever commenting on my blog before (forgive me if you have) and I always appreciate it when visitors let me know they've stopped by. (o:

Many Blessings!
